With Google looking at over 200 factors when ranking a website, how do you know which ones to focus on? Or better yet, what steps do you need to take in order to improve your rankings?

In order to help you with your on-page optimization, I’ve created an infographic that shows you how to make each of your web pages search-engine-friendly.

  • Use SEO-friendly URL extensions.
  • Perfectly optimized title: keep it under 55 characters, mention target keyword in the title and wrap your title in H1 tags.
  • Use visual media
  • Link to authority websites.
  • Drop keyword in first 100 characters.
  • Use related keywords.
  • Optimize image file name and ALT tags.
  • Improve loading speed: for example compressing image file size.
  • Optimize your page for social sharing
  • Have a high word count for content: pages ranked 1 on Google have a word count above 2.000 words.
  • Use responsive code to adapt to different mobile devices.
